I got into the field of education to try and make a difference in kids’ lives. I have always wanted to be the difference or the reason why students strive to be the best they can be. I hope to have lifelong impacts on my students and that they remember how I inspired them long after school is over. Changing the lives of students and the way they see education is why I became an educator.
My daughter is my hero. At birth, she weighed only 2lbs 6oz and spent 81 days in hospital. I have never met anyone else in my life who has gone through what she has. She lights up a room, she puts a smile on anyone’s face and is always happy. She has taught me patience, resilience, compassion and adaptation all in such a short period of time.
Being the change in someone’s life, the positive in someone’s day, is what gets me up in the morning.
This is a picture of me at Easter.
My favourite food is tacos!!! I LOVE chicken tacos.
Object I Can’t Live Without
I could not live without my coffee. It has to be black with two creams.
My favourite colour is purple.
Growing up I was the oldest child. Sports were a huge part of our family as kids. We all played soccer and hockey competitively. Many summers were spent at soccer fields or playing in our backyard together. Winters looked very similar. Weekends were filled with us all cheering our siblings on at arenas, eating on the go and long car rides. My favourite memory from my childhood would be sneaking away to the cottage after school had let out for summer.
This is a picture of me at graduation.
These pictures are of myself and kids enjoying the winter holidays tobogganing together. This past year I have really enjoyed spending time as a family. We enjoy the outdoors and are very active!
More about me.
Being outside, having fun and creating memories is my absolute favourite thing to do in my free time. I have always been an active person growing up. I want to instill that desire to get up and go in my kids. Being outside, doing something new, fun and adventurous really brings people together.
