After graduating from Teacher’s College and supplying with the school board, I realized that teaching in a traditional classroom was not for me. I still, however, l had an interest in STEM education and working with children and adolescents. LEARNstyle has allowed me to combine these two passions, not as a teacher, but as a coach. It is incredibly rewarding to support and connect with students and staff, and to know I am making a difference in their lives.
As a proponent of mental health, I have a great deal of respect for the author, Jenny Lawson (The Bloggess). I admire her ability to tackle mental health issues with humour.
I am passionate about the mental and social well-being of my students. Creating a safe and supportive space is important for students developing cognitive and academic skills.

Your Happy Place
Cuddled up on the couch with my cat or being outside in the summertime.
For the majority of my life, I grew up in the country, surrounded by family and animals. My brother and I would often walk across the field to my grandmother’s farm to pick raspberries, play on the Super Nintendo, or to see the barn cats.
2014- After my graduation with a BScH in Psychology and a minor in Biology.
About to do an inspection on my hives in my pink beekeeping suit!
I love taking pictures of and identifying different animals and plants through the citizen science project. I have a special love for pollinators- particularly moths!
More about me.
I have many different hobbies to keep me busy! I spend a lot of time outdoors in the summertime gardening, beekeeping, reading, or taking pictures. I try to stay creative by sewing and quilting; I love the method of Foundation Paper Piecing, which can be very intricate. Finally, I love playing video games, mainly Role Playing Games (RPGs).
