About me.

I began my career in education as an Educational Assistant supporting students in both elementary and high school. I was introduced to LEARNstyle by a coworker and after hearing about all the good this company does I knew I had to be a part of it. My experience working one on one with students has taught me how to connect with each individual student and personalize lessons for them. I have been able to apply my skills of working in the schools with my work here at LEARNstyle. I have made many memorable connections and I look forward to making more!

My Hero

My hero is my best friend. She has been my rock since College. We have been through many ups and downs together. She is a wonderful Mom of three beautiful children, two of which are twins, which I am lucky to have them call me Tia! Through thick and thin I know I can count on her to be there.

Early Beginnings

This is a picture of my Grandpa. I remember spending every boxing day at his house where all the cousins would come together, open presents and have a big family dinner.

My Best Memory

My best memory is the day I picked up my cat. I was always more of a dog person, but the day I picked up my cat, I fell in love. My friend and I drove 5 hours to pick up our new fur babies.

My Happy Place

My happy place is anywhere by a body of water. I love being at a cottage and being able to sit and look out at the water. I also enjoy going for walks down by the lake.

Favourite Music

My favourite type of music is country. I have been able to check many artists off of my bucket list to see in concert, but I have many more to go. The list keeps growing!

Growing Up

Growing up comes with lots of memories of travelling. My parents and I would often go where my Dad is from and visit with family there. We would always drive. The drive took three days, including an overnight on the boat. We would always go out on a boat and go cod fishing. We also travelled to where my Aunt lives. I always enjoyed visiting my cousins as they were older and didn’t see them too often.

Graduation

I graduated from the Early Childhood Education program. I went back to and graduated with honours from the Developmental Services Worker program, where I fast-tracked and completed a 2-year diploma program in 10 months.

Cow Selfies

This picture was taken on a school trip to the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto. I joked around with my students that I was going to take a selfie with a cow.

More about me.

After driving to my friend’s cottage and seeing a field of cows, I made it a goal to take selfies with as many cows as possible. I wasn’t able to get a selfie with those cows as they were too far from the fence, but since then I have been able to take three selfies with different cows on different occasions.
