About me.
I am a newly graduated teacher that is passionate about reading and literacy. I got into education initially to teach and inspire the next generation of readers and writers, and help to teach young students how to communicate their thoughts in written form in an effective and engaging way. As someone who is passionate about creative writing, I also hope to inspire my students to explore writing as an art form.
My Hero
My Hero is the Brazilian novelist and short story writer, Clarice Lispector. I find her prose to be poetic and beautiful, as well as deeply emotive. She gives a deeply personal yet existential depiction of the human condition, and uses a simple vocabulary yet complex sentence structure.

My favourite type of music is electronic synthy type stuff most often.

ONE of my favourite books is As For Me and My House, by Canadian novelist, Sinclair Ross.
My Happy Place
My happy place is anywhere with a saltwater beach and palm trees!

In my spare time I enjoy reading and writing, primarily stream of consciousness writing or (not so good) poetry!

I have been an avid reader and writer for most of my life, and both love the act of learning new perspectives, ideas, facts through reading, as well as expressing my thoughts and feelings in a written form. There is something about writing that allows me to capture tiny details about my everyday life – feelings, thoughts, physical surroundings, and preserve them in time with pen and paper, give them a life they would not otherwise have.Â
