About me.
I am so happy to be a part of the LEARNstyle Team! My family have moved throughout North American and I started by teaching at-risk poverty-level children. I learned that service is everything. I’m here to help!
My Hero
I have to say I actually carry a gratitude list of heroes, who have been my teachers along my Path. From the Episcopal Chaplain who taught me about the work of Carl Jung, to the Cherokee Shaman woman who taught me to respect other Faith traditions and to respect the Earth. I was a Nanny for several years for a couple who taught me what a real family is and how to advocate for your children with special needs. We are still family after 34 years! My teacher who taught me the value of fairytale work and myths to heal unresolved trauma, to my Teacher who has taught me about the Qabalah and has deepened my self-awareness and compassion for self and others. My list of heroes is constantly growing. SO many children who taught me compassion and strength! I am so grateful to be a perpetual student of Life!
My Passion
I am passionate about helping others! I always have been! Every meaningful employment experience I ever had, was when I was helping. It’s been my experience that when I’m helping, I am always learning about myself as well as others. When I was teaching children living in poverty I learned so much about how everyone was struggling and how important it was (and is) to always come from a place of respect and dignity for others. Helping is what I’m passionate about. Helping and Spiritual Progress through helping.

On the Dock
I actually have very few childhood photos. This one was taken in our last summer in Canada before moving to Texas when I was 14. My brother and I and our dog were looking at the fish under the dock.

Favourite Colour
My favourite colour is blue-in any shade but Navy-Makes me feel empowered and peaceful at the same time.
Favourite Book
The Mists of Avalon by Marion ZImmer Bradley. This was (and is) such a special book. It’s a feminist telling of the King Arthur Legend and was so empowering to me to read in my 20’s.
Favourite Subjects in School
Music, Theatre, English and History. All of these subjects made me feel alive and awake and interested.
Growing Up
My favourite childhood memories are all about spending time in Nature. I went to summer camp for two weeks each year and just had the time of my life!
I used to go through Summer Camp withdrawal. I missed the quiet of provincial park and how beautiful it was to walk home with my toboggan at dusk and hear the wind softly blowing and the snow gently falling, All the kids on our street used to gang up and go sledding down a ski-doo trail behind someone’s house. The trail was probably ½ km long and we always had a blast! It was always when we had to walk ALL the way back up that we moaned a lot!

Dinner with Friends
This was a photo I took of my friendand I when we had dinner together and wanted to share it with Mississauga Area Women in Business

Time in NatureÂ
This is a picture of the several I took while hiking at Crawford Lake last September.
More about me.
Time in Nature is essential for me so being able to walk and hike with the birds and trees was just so wonderful!
