About me.
I worked as an ESL teacher for elementary school children. As a person whose first language is not English, working as an English teacher was an interesting experience because I still vividly remember sitting on the other side of the room as a student tried to learn the very subject that I was teaching. I believe being able to relate to where my students were coming from made a lot of difference in how I approached teaching as I tried my best to see every struggle and challenge through their eyes. I love that I am fully empowered to continue providing student-centred support in my role as a reading intervention coach at LEARNstyle.
My Hero
I think my students who showed up to my class despite their insecurities and self-doubt are heroes. It takes a lot of courage to continue to show up for oneself. I admire my students’ strength and confidence.
My Passion
My passion is making a difference in the world. I enjoy working with people because there are so many things I can do to help them even in small ways.

Early BeginningsÂ
I think I was on a picnic with my family when this picture was taken. Even though I am posing, I am pretty sure I was quite shy in front of the camera

Favourite Food
My favorite food is roasted seaweed with rice. It is so simple but so good.
Favourite Animal
My favourite animal is dog. I feel instantly happier when I see a dog on the street.
My Happy Place
My happy place is my bed. I have a great habit of leaving all my worries when it is time to go to bed.
Growing Up
As a child, I loved spending time with my family and friends. After school, I would spend at least a couple hours in the playground playing so many games I invented with my friends. On the weekends, I spent a lot of time in nature with my family.

Graduation
I don’t know why I am not smiling more in this picture, but I was extremely happy to graduate from my program. It was a difficult journey, but I made it through with the support of so many amazing people including my friends, family, and professors.

Pumpkins and FallÂ
I make weird faces because I don’t know how to pose. In celebration of autumn, I asked my friend to take a picture of me with the pumpkins.

Coffee Love
I was not having a great day on the day this picture was taken. I didn’t feel very productive at home so I went to a café in my neighbourhood. Drinking coffee while staring out the window made me feel much better.
More about me.
I love exploring different cafes every weekend. It makes me feel like I am travelling abroad. I get to study the inside of the café and try different sweets. Sometimes, I talk to the barista or people sitting near me. Other times, I people watch.
