Erin Ing

Blind/Low Vision Lead Technology Coach

About me.

I have always been drawn to helping people and have also always been drawn to technology. I worked with children for over a decade in an Augmentative and Alternative Communication clinic, but wanted to have more involvement in the implementation of assistive technology for learning and general independence. Being a LEARNstyle Technology Coach is a perfect fit for me 🙂

My Hero

My great-grandmother is my hero. Born in the 1800’s she conquered Polio, worked outside the home and helped those in need in many capacities. Amazing accomplishments for a woman of her time!

My Passion

I am passionate about helping people; making a difference in other’s lives and building people’s confidence and independence.

Borrowing Grandmother’s Ride

Here I am riding my grandmother’s tricycle. I loved to take her poodle for rides!

Favourite Music

Classic Rock

One Thing I Can’t Live Without

My iPhone (I’m a tech nerd)

Favourite Memory

Watching my kids play together for the very first time when my youngest was old enough

Growing Up

I grew up in a small town. I learned a lot of practical skills such as canning, gardening, making an older car start (and problem solving when it didn’t), and driving a tractor.

This is me graduating the Communicative Disorders Assistant program.

Family Trips

One of the best parts of family travelling is ice cream!

Baking Adventures

A delicious batch of lemon poppy seed muffin

More about me.

I love to bake and generally love to ‘feed people’.
