Growing up, I always spent a week of my summer at camp. I was somewhat shy, but I loved spending time at the beach, climbing, playing games, and making friends. The counsellors were always fun, exciting, and served as great role models for me. When I got the chance, I also became a counsellor and found joy in being a leader for the campers. Now, I find myself looking for ways to keep supporting my community and to help young people realize all that they are capable of.
Someone I look up to is the astronomer Carl Sagan. He showed that you don’t have to limit yourself: you can be a scientist, an author, a peace activist – whatever you want to be!
One of my passions is physics! I studied it in university and I find it so exciting to learn more about the weird and wonderful world we live in.
Can’t live without…
I can’t live without my Rubik’s cubes…or maybe my Naglene water bottle
