About me.

You have questions. I have questions. We ALL have questions. Let’s figure them out together! Learning is lifelong whether you are in school or long gone from it. I went to some pretty unique schools when I was younger. I knew what it felt like to be the minority, to be behind in academics, and to soar ahead of the herd. I want to pass on my love of learning and feeling strong in class to you. Let’s shoot for the moon. Even if we miss, we’ll land among the stars.

My Hero

My dad is my hero. I love reading books and I know many random facts because of my dad. He is a librarian and archival data manager. He is also the reason why I get bitten by the travel bug every couple of years. When I was little my mom and I would follow him around the world. We always went where the books needed him.

My Passion

One of the many passions in my life is adventuring outdoors! If I haven’t tried it before I will probably do it soon in the future. I have gone paragliding even though I am terrified of heights. I have scuba dived even though I am afraid of deep water and sea creatures. I have backpacked at Algonquin park even though I am terrified of bears. I have camped on a desert island for a couple of days just for fun. My most recent adventure will be to learn cross country skiing this Winter!

Favourite Movie

My favourite movie is The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. The Hobbit Trilogy was good too but nothing can beat the original creation of Peter Jackson.

My Happy Place

The beach in the Sultanate of Oman. Warm dry evenings by the water as the sun is going down and the call to evening prayer echoes in the spice filled air. Sometimes if you’re lucky you can spot some bioluminescence in the waves after dark.

Favourite Type of Music

Grunge/Punk rock. Power metal. Alternative rock. Lofi music. Some electronic dance music like Daft Punk. Acapello. Old 1950’s jams. Classical guitar and piano pieces. I just like everything.

Obstacle Races

Back before I got shin splints I did SO many outdoor obstacle races! My goal is still to complete a Spartan Race and a triathlon. Anyone want to train with me?

Graduation

I graduated from university with a Bachelor’s of Arts (Honors). 100% would do it again, but in Science.

I have an inkling of what it feels like to be the unusual kid in school. Luckily all that happened beyond the borders of Canada so no one can remember my most embarrassing childhood moments. Haha no I will not tell you.
