About me.
I got into education by chance pretty soon after finishing my second post-secondary degree in what most would consider fairly unrelated fields. I ended up teaching English online to young Chinese students. Drawing on the skills I developed as a weekend snowboard instructor back in high school, I found teaching kids to be a natural fit, and continued with ESL for 6 years. Since joining the LEARNstyle team, I’ve been applying my passion for teaching to various subjects as a virtual tutor, and am now specializing as a reading intervention coach.

I have several hobbies including cooking, playing guitar, and following politics, though one that’s extra special (since I don’t get to do it on a daily basis) is camping. I love hiking to remote places with one or two buddies, escaping civilization, and enjoying nature.
